At Seven Stars, we see every child as a unique individual, full of potential, curiosity, and wonder. Our philosophy is illuminated by our Seven Stars Approach—a holistic framework that nurtures the whole child: the Healthy, Kind, Confident, Creative, Communicator, Thinker, and Explorer Star within each of them.
We are deeply committed to upholding the rights of the child, as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and our practice is guided by the principles of the National Code of Ethics. This means we champion every child’s right to be heard, to be safe, to learn through play, and to be valued as a capable citizen of our community.
Our practice is grounded in evidence-based theory. We build secure attachments (Bowlby) to ensure each child’s fundamental needs for safety and belonging are met (Maslow), creating a foundation from which they can confidently explore. Our educators are skilled in scaffolding learning (Vygotsky's ZPD) and nurturing a growth mindset (Dweck), empowering children to embrace challenges and discover their unique intelligences (Gardner).
